Been working on hero props, Guns, as you might have noticed. Currently going back and forth between the MP5, MK 23, a playstation 1/2~ spec environment and a set of darksiders style weapons. Busy couple of months :D

New Directions

Since my last update, I've decided to move from character art to environment art.  Its something that I've been considering since just after I finished college.  Now that I've got a 3d capable computer again, its just become more apparent to me that, that is the direction I should head.  I haven't started on my portfolio just yet, I've been off and on, working on somethings for friends and haven't had time to focus on my own portfolio just yet. Once I get a good grip on the Unreal Editor and get some portfolio pieces ready, I'll post some in engine renders.  Till then-- And if you haven't go and look at Slipgate's gallery.  I don't know him

I do plan to upload various renders once they're actually complete, but at the moment I'll just be uploading mostly defragging concept work. I've been doing non-stop modeling/re-learning (Maya), learning (Mudbox) and experimenting with various nifty maya widgets (hair, cloth, etc...) for going on 2 months now (18hrs a day).  Even at work its all I do, when not preoccupied (fairly laid back job --security--).  So to defrag I just go into mudbox, pick a base mesh and start sculpting with a basic concept in mind. I spent the better part of 4 years not touching Maya or anything else (I know long time out of the loop huh?), but Photoshop occasio

Np. Yeah man, Vitaly's work is awesome, so many character artists blow me away. All I have is lonely ol' hardsurface work, working on fixing that though.
